The fact is every every tip, every technique, every management strategy, every good advice about effective leadership has a common basis, and that can be discovered by following Jesus.

How many times have you ever been offered something that is free, except that when you get it, it is actually not free…there are some strings attached? How many times have you bought something…and in order to take advantage of it, you had to acknowledge the fine print? The same is true with following Jesus. Following Jesus provides a tremendous amount of benefits and will make your life better. However, it comes with a cost. Fact is: Salvation is free, but at some point if you are a follower of Jesus, at some point in your life, it will cost you something.

Everyone loves a good movie. While your idea of a good movie may differ in some ways from those of your friends, parents, kids, and anyone you have a relationship with, there is a common characteristic that we can all agree that every good movie has. This is true despite the genre of the movie. It is the same characteristic that shows up in songs, books, magazines, blogs, etc. …and is not only a characteristic that God commands us all to have, but we are designed with a void that can only be filled with this characteristic.
It is no wonder that this was one of Jesus’s final commands to anyone who is a follower of Him.

Think about this statement for a few moments: “you are being pursued to follow”. The fact is, that is really the reason why Jesus came. He pursued us so that we can pursue him.
